Another tourist lodge is born at the foot of the highest mountain in Central Africa thus Mulanje Mountain in Phalombe. The Lodge is located within the Thuchila Estate within the Kambenje area. Mulanje Mountain standing at over 3,000 metres above sea level is the highest mountain in tropical southern Africa. The mountain has a very rich forest reserve, which is a home to a rich and diverse endemic plant and animal species. The famous Mulanje Cedar dominates the high altitude forests. |
