|
MULLI BROTHERS LTD. participated in the 41st Cairo International Fair which was held in Cairo, Egypt, from 18th to 28th March, 2008. The only company that participated in the fair this time round represented not only itself but the all business establishments and the country as a whole. The Malawi Embassy in Cairo facilitated and coordinated the events at the fair in very professional way. The Egyptian General Organization for International Exhibitions organized this 2008 Cairo International Fair. The welcome and logistical arrangements by the Cairo office were highly exceptional and wish to commend the office for a job well done. It is our desire therefor that other Malawi Embassies abroad will be patriotic as well to enhance business opportunities for the good of Malawis socio-economic development. |

Malawi was highly privileged to be among several countries and international organizations that participated in this years Fair. Among them were countries like: United Arab Emirates, Syria, Thailand, United States of America, Vietnam, Sudan, Palestine, Kenya and Nigeria. Algeria, Bulgaria, Brazil, China, Egypt, Germany, Greece, India, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malawi Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovak Republic. For MULLI BROTHERS it was yet another milestone in the history of the company to once again put Malawi products on the Middle East and Global market. The Malawi stand recorded a little over a hundred business contacts which was commendable indeed. |
| |
The MULLI BROTHERS team was led by Mr Alex Mulli one of the company Directors and was accompanied by Wise Chauluka: Caroline Chen and Saidi Nasser - Mulli Brothers representative in Dubai UAE. The fair was well patronized and the business contacts were many and raised the teams spirits with greater hopes for future produce markets |

Malawi has all the potential to become number one exporter of agriculture produce to the Middle East including China and India but a lot of positive things must happen in the minds of the people to see Malawi differently. There is need to support each other with love so Malawi can prosper. Malawi displayed a selected range of other agricultural produce such as soya, white beans, pigeon peas, birds eye chillies, raw groundnuts, and dhal which generated a lot of interest. Most of the raw agricultural products are imported to supplement Egypts limited local production. As we move into the future, Arabic and English labels will be the way to go for most exhibitions in the Arab world. For all retail products validity and expiry dates plus Arabic translation on the packages will become standard code of business presentation in the Middle East and Europe. |

The experience and benefits of exhibitions are tremendous. Participation in fairs and exhibitions by MULLI BROTHERS LTD is an advantage beyond the gains of the company rather an ongoing challenge to all Malawians who wish their country unconditional prosperity. The benefit of fast market penetration of employing exhibitions as a promotional tool elucidates more precisely as a way of reaching a large proportion of the market in a relatively short span of time, strengthening its cost-effective status. The objectives could be myriad ranging from raising ones company profile or reshaping market perceptions to generating higher sales leads. One can achieve much more in a span of fewer days at an exhibition than one might otherwise achieve with other promotional tools. The pictures show people and irrigation fields and the extent to which tourism is managed along the river Nile. Consequently, participation in international fairs opens new opportunities on the global market and Malawi needs that kind of exposure to become competitive in all its commodities. |
| |
Malawi must move out of poverty quickly, by exploring new business ventures especially finding markets for the produce around the country. With love and determination driven by the desire to reach the greatest heights the lives of the ordinary people can be enhanced and sustained. |
